A Lone Minivan On US 83 in Nebraska

August 21, 2005. Between Stapleton and Thedford, Nebraska.

A lone minivan travels north on US 83, on a hot and sunny day in the State of Nebraska. I captured this while traveling from North Platte, NE. to Badlands National Park in South Dakota.

  1. I can almost see the heat waves rising off of the surface here, Tom Gatermann. Awesome take.

  3. That's quite the desolate area. I must have gone through there on the way to or back from the Badlands. Great capture!

  5. We didn't make it to Murdo on this trip. We cut west over Route 44 at White River. Desolate country, but beautiful up there.
