Highlighted grass - Marais Des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge
Blades of grass are highlighted against a dark background of trees in the Marais Des Cygnes National Wildlife Refuge in the state of Kansas. Per the U.S. Fish & Wildlife's website for the refuge, the refuge covers 7,500 acres and was formed to protect and restore bottomland hardwood forests.
