An All Box Car Union Pacific Train On The Chester Subdivision At Valmeyer, IL.

An all box car train rolls north on the Union Pacific's Chester Subdivision. It seems that it is a rare sight to see a train made up entirely of box cars these days, and maybe even rarer to capture the whole train in a single photograph.

  1. I can only think of a few times I saw boxcar only trains in my life. Another interesting fact about this particular train was that a lot of the box cars were old Conrail ones. There were also a couple old Grand Truck box cars.
