An All Box Car Train

November 6, 2005. Valmeyer, Illinois.

An all box car train rolls north on the Union Pacific's Chester Subdivision. It seems that it is a rare sight to see a train made up entirely of box cars these days.

  1. I can only think of a few times I saw boxcar only trains in my life. Another interesting fact about this particular train was that a lot of the box cars were old Conrail ones. There were also a couple old Grand Truck box cars.
