A Street Light In The Flood Waters Of The Mississippi River At Laclede's Landing

St. Louis, Missouri. June 23, 2008.

Flooding from the Mississippi River, at Laclede's Landing. The railroad bridge is part of the TRRA's Merchants Subdivision. The larger bridge is the MLK Bridge, which connects St. Louis, MO with East St. Louis, IL.

  1. Excellent composition with such great details. I remember this well.

  2. Super and dramatic shot, Tom Gatermann. Love the details that pop out in this B&W.

  3. Thank you, Ann Kennedy. I don't remember how long the flooding lasted, but I seem to recall it lasted quite a while that summer.

Thank you, ᙅYᙖᙓᖇ ᗪOᙅ™. It's all in the details!

  4. Tom Gatermann That was a long flood season for both MO and Illinois!
