Seen here heading south is Union Pacific 844, as it leads a train under the old MoPac signal bridge at Rhymer Road and Illinois Route 3, just north of McClure, Illinois.

  4. Thanks a lot, Brian Christian. Those old signal bridges were great to frame any train with. Most, if not all, of them are gone now. Replaced with tri-color signals.

  6. I've never been very close to a steamer, only once when I was a youngin, Tom Gatermann. Almost got knocked off the trestle down here when I got caught out there in the middle of the river with nowhere to run, though. Does that count? Lol. :-)
