Rolling North On The Chester Subdivision

A Union Pacific (UP) train rolls north on UP's Chester Subdivision. The train had just crossed over the Kaskaskia River, a bit south of this location, and was on its way toward the St. Louis area.

March 3, 2006. South of Modoc, Illinois.

  1. Very nice. I am always surprised when you look at photos of train tracks and see how wavy they can be. :-)
