Pikes Peak Cog Railway - End of the Line - Top of Pikes Peak
End of the Line at Pikes Peak

Looking down from the end of the line, of the Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway, at the summit of Pikes Peak. The top of the mountain offers some really spectacular views. It was very interesting to be able to walk up to the very end of the tracks, which hung a bit over the edge of the mountain.

  1. Thanks, Julianne. At 14,115 feet (4302 meters) Pikes Peak offers quite a spectacular view.

  2. Cool! I was there the year before I think and have a similar photo somewhere. :-) I was just Googling this railroad the other day and this track is probably gone now. They are doing a big upgrade and will reopen in 2021 after having shut down, last year I think.

    1. Thanks a lot, Shelly. Originally, I had heard that the railway was closed for good. I was glad to hear that the railway was going to be upgraded and will reopen. It's a great way to see the mountain.
