This is the Jan Hus Monument in Old Town Prague Square. Jan Hus was burnt at the stake after refusing to recant his reformist views, by the Roman Catholic Church. His death was seen as an outrage by the Czech people and was one of the catalysts that led to what would become known as the Hussite Wars. The building in the background is the Palác Kinských, and it is home to part of the National Gallery (Národní Galerie). DART Trains by the Cancer Survivors Plaza Blue Line and Red Line DART trains pass each other in front of the entrance to the Cancer Survivors Plaza.
