Two views of the altar at Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal

These two photographs are of the main altar at the Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal (Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal). In the photograph below you can see a bit more of the lower portion of the altar, while above you can see more of the surrounding arches above the altar. The design of the altar, as well as the pillars and arches surrounding it, is very ornate. With the rest of the basilica being dimly lit, the altar really stands out when you walk into the basilica.
