Alter at Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal These two photographs are of the main altar at the Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal (Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal). In the photograph below you can see a bit more of the lower portion of the altar, while above you can see more of the surrounding arches above the altar. The design of the altar, as well as the pillars and arches surrounding it, is very ornate. With the rest of the basilica being dimly lit, the altar really stands out when you walk into the basilica . The Bridal Veil Falls at Niagara Falls

Bridal Veil Falls This view is looking toward the American Falls (partially shown on the left) and the Bridal Veil Falls (on the right). The two water falls are separated by Luna Island. Both of these waterfalls are on the US side of Niagara Falls, however, I took the photograph from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The walkways and decks that the tourists are on are part of the Cave of the Winds experience. The three buildings in the background, from left to right, are: The Giacomo, a hotel in the former United Office Building, built in the Art Deco style; the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino; and The Niagara building.The United Office Building was built in 1929, and is listed on the United State's National Register of Historic Places.   Photo taken: July 8, 2013, at Niagara Falls, Ontario.
