CSX 904026 - Operation Lifesaver Caboose - Oct. 2018

CSX 904026 - Operation Lifesaver Caboose - Oct. 2018
CSX 904026 - Gallatin, TN

CSXT 904026, painted in an old Operation Lifesaver paint scheme, is seen here sitting along side the  CSX Main Line Subdivision. The caboose looks likes it down and out, but it is still used on the local trains in the area. At least it was being used a year ago when I saw it on a CSX local in Gallatin. The windows on the sides have been welded shut with metal plates.

  1. I always wanted to make a small guest house out of an old caboose! Nice shot, Tom Gatermann.
