Vertigo? - Part I - Looking down from the top of Hoover Dam

A view looking down the dam toward the Colorado River, from the walkway at the top.
Hoover Dam

A view looking down, from the top of Hoover Dam. The dam is 726 feet tall, and weighs more than 6.6 million tons. At the bottom water from the Colorado River and Lake Mead are being released. On the back side of the dam, large intake towers feed water into the dam's turbines to produce electricity.
