Praha hl.n. from Vinohradska Street Back in the spring of 2015, my wife and I traveled to Prague, Czechia. On our second day in Prague we made our way over to Prague's main railway station where I spent an hour or so photographing the seemingly endless parade of passenger trains arriving and departing the station.The station's name in Czech is Praha hlavní nádraží, but is often shortened to Praha hl.n. The name in English means Prague main station. The original station building was built in the late 19th Century, while the current station building was built in the early 20th Century. Originally, the station was called Franz Josef Station, after Franz Josef I, of Austria. It was later renamed twice, once before and once after World War II, as Wilson Station (Wilsonovo nádraží), after former United States President Woodrow Wilson. BNSF 7826 is on the point of a parked grain train sitting next to State Street, on which a tumbleweed is slowly rolling down. These tracks are owned by the Terminal Railroad Association (TRRA), and are just north of the TRRA's Madison Yard. Behind BNSF 7826 is an ex-Santa Fe Warbonnet painted locomotive. Visitors Center at Hoover Dam Looking toward the visitors' center and some of the power line towers at Hoover Dam . In the upper left corner of the image you can see the Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. At the time that I took this image, the bridge was under construction. Before the bridge was completed in 2010, vehicular traffic on US 93 had to cross over the top of the dam, which required a security check fro every car traveling over it. BNSF 643, BNSF 6943, and WC 3026 - Hannibal Subdivision BNSF 643, BNSF 6943, and Wisconsin Central 3026 lead a BNSF manifest freight train east near Sublette Avenue. Painted in a "map" scheme, WC 3026 is WC's 10th anniversary unit that also celebrated Wisconsin's sesquicentennial anniversary of statehood. BNSF 643 is a former Santa Fe locomotive that is still painted in Santa Fe's Warbonne t paint scheme. Photo take: December 24, 2006, at St. Louis, Missouri.

After waiting for a new crew, Union Pacific 6510 gets the green signal to proceed south under the old cantilever type signal bridge , on UP's Chester Subdivision at Dupo Yard. May 23, 2006. St. Louis, MO. BNSF 4562 and UP 8119 pass each other near South Kingshighway Blvd. BNSF 4562 is rolling west on BNSF's Hannibal Subdivision, while UP 8119 is working as the DPU on an eastbound coal train on the UP's Jefferson City Subdivision.

A Metrolink light rail train heads west (away from the camera) at Jefferson Avenue. The train is passing the Metrolink maintenance shops, and had just passed through the construction area for the new Jefferson Avenue overpass. The next stop for this train will be the Grand Blvd. Metrolink Station. At the time this photograph was taken the Jefferson Avenue bridge was being replaced, and you can see one of the new bridge piers being built to the left. The tracks in the foreground of the photograph are the TRRA Merchants Subdivision.
